Rules & Regulations

Competition Rules

1. Potential competitors must have valid passport to travel (to receive Grand Prize) and must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Carving tools and all other related supplies/materials will NOT be provided.
3. Each competitor is allowed to bring one (1) helper to the competition.
4. Each competitor must provide one (1) Traditional Thai Carving with a unique arrangement.
5. Each candidate will have a full three hours to produce one Traditional Thai carving product with a unique arrangement.
6. Competitors must allow the rights to use the Competitor’s name for any marketing materials related to this event, including but not limited to use on the World Wide Web, printed materials, video, press releases, and advertisements.
7. The Carving Competition reserves the right to reassign date or replace a competitor if necessary: (competitors dropping-out of the competition, becoming ill during the run of the competition, violating any competition rules, etc.), with no registration fee refund
8. The Carving Competition will not be liable for cancellation or postponement of competition in the event of natural event or terrorism that is out of the organizer’s control.
9. Judging will evaluate and score each entrant on their technical skills based on the following criteria: Innovative (10) Uniqueness (10) Arrangement (10)
10. All decisions by the judges are final.

REMARKS:

• All art will be kept to display at exhibition on Sunday, May 22, 2016
• All competitors must sign a hold harmless waiver provided by the organizer prior to the competition.
• Every effort has been made to make the competition a safe event; however competitors are required to waive all liability claims that may arise from participation in this event, including injury.
